June 2025 Newsletter

Dear Friends.

I hope you are having a great summer.  It's been awhile since my last newsletter, but things have been pretty crazy the last few months. For one thing, after 40 years of living in the countryside, we moved to a place smack in the middle of downtown Holland, MI. And we love it. As for my music, it's been a great adventure with some cool stuff happening. Here is the latest news about my music activities.

Warm Rain   (New single Release)

The June music focus is a new release titled “Warm Rain” performed by the string section of the London Philharmonic Orchestra with Jan Mulder on piano. It was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London.

My  music is often written about people I love or care deeply about, and this piece definitely falls into that category. This piece is composed and recorded for my lovely granddaughter Mackenzie. With love and joy.

Ascension: Symphonina Rising  (July 25, 2025 release)

Ascension: Symphonina Rising

I am happy to announce that on July 25, 2025, we will be releasing a new album titled “Ascension: Symphonina Rising."

I have been working with some good friends and music colleagues, and with “The Symphonina Foundation," to produce, record, and launch this new and wonderful album. I am one of the album producers and one of 5 composers. We will be submitting the album for Grammy consideration as it is definitely Grammy worthy.

I couldn't be more proud of the outcome. It is a stunning album designed to make classical music more accessible to younger AND older people (and everyone in between). It's a beautiful piece of work. Remember, our album released last year “Advent of the Symphonina” won several prestigious international awards and nominations and charted #1 on Billboards Traditional Classical Albums. This one follows our practice of composing and producing beautiful music to spread the joy of symphonic music to young audiences around the world. Please click below to learn more about this album.
