November 2024 Newsletter
Dear Friends.
To my friends in the US, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. And to everyone, I wish you a joyful autumn with family, friends and music that fills your heart.
Check out below some great news about upcoming music performances, an “Advent of the Symphonina” update, and a November music focus.
Advent of the Symphonina
Our album Advent of the Symphonina was up for Grammy® consideration in the Best Classical Compendium category. Although we did not receive a nomination, we did receive incredible indie support, and made many new friends among the Grammy® & Recording Academy community.
In August, Advent of the Symphonina: Spreading the Joy of Symphonic Music to Young Audiences Around the World, debuted at #1 on the Billboard's Traditional Classical Albums chart – squarely placing The Symphonina Foundation front and center in the music industry! We also received 8 international awards and nominations (See October Newsletter.)
I want to express my great gratitude and joy for working on this project. A special thanks to my friend Dr. David Fogel, co-founder & CEO of the Symphonina Foundation, and my other awesome team members Alexander Unseth, Jordan Jinosko, Gary Gray and Gabriel Mulder.
Holland Symphony Orchestra
I am honored that The Holland Symphony Orchestra will be performing my composition “Places Far Away” at their “Home for the Holidays” concert. It will be held at the Hope College Dimnent Chapel in Holland, Michigan on December 14, 2024. The two performances are at 3:30 pm, and 7:30 pm. Although the chapel capacity is over 1,000 people, please get your tickets early as it is likely to sell out.
If you've never been to this concert it is absolutely wonderful with brilliant orchestral and vocal performances and also including a lovely Christmas sing along by the audience.
You are invited to attend and hear my piece “Places Far Away” performed by this wonderful orchestra in a beautiful venue. I'm so excited and hope to see you there!
