Dear Friends.

I hope you are enjoying the fall season. Here is an update of some of my latest music adventures. Thank you for following, and being a part, of my crazy and amazing music life.

Back to Hollywood

This summer I was honored that my composition, "Places Far Away", was nominated for a "Hollywood Independent Music Award" in the Contemporary Classical category. I attended the awards event  in Hollywood, California on August 17, 2023 and walked the "Red Carpet."

It was great to meet up with many of my friends in the music industry, and I made many more new friends. I didn’t win the award for my category, but I was happy to be there and be a part of the experience. (To see more photos, click the link on the bottom of the page.)

Symphonina Foundation

I am now on the Board of Advisors for the "Symphonina Foundation." The foundation is presenting a new genre of music, the symphonina, as a means to  introduce symphonic music to young audiences around the world.

A "Symphonina" is a short symphony with 3-4 movements and melodic themes with a total length of 10-12 minutes. Each movement is about the length of a typical streaming pop tune  which makes it more accessible, particularly for younger audiences.
